The Job

We are looking for a Security Officer to protect our residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining a safe and professional environment at a large apartment complex in Islington.

Your role will include:

  • Being the friendly, professional face of Gateway by greeting visitors, answering enquiries, and handling reception duties.
  • Monitoring access, patrolling the site, and keeping detailed incident logs.
  • Responding to alarms, emergencies, and incidents with calm efficiency.

Digital Marketing Coordinator

As we continue to grow, we are searching for an experienced Digital Marketing Coordinator to join us at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea.

The Person

The Job

  • Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and monitor content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring brand consistency
  • Email Marketing: Build and send targeted email campaigns, manage mailing lists, and analyse performance metrics
  • SEO Optimisation: Research keywords, optimise website content, and monitor search performance to improve rankings
  • Content Support: Assist in planning, writing, and editing blog posts, landing pages, and marketing copy
  • Paid Ads Coordination: Support setup, monitoring, and reporting for PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
  • AI-Driven Marketing Tasks: Use AI tools to assist with content generation, data analysis, and campaign optimisation
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track KPIs, prepare performance reports, and suggest improvements for digital campaigns
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our sales department, external agencies and the Head of Marketing to align campaigns with overall strategy

The perfect candidate is:

  • Both creative and data driven
  • Multi-disciplined across digital marketing channels (social media, email, SEO, paid ads)
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, SEO tools, social media schedulers, and email marketing platforms
  • Proficient with Adobe CC, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere and After Effects
  • Effortlessly able to interpret data and use it to improve results.

Contracts Manager

The Job
You will play an important role in delivering maintenance, repair, and refurbishment works across our managed portfolio. You will plan and manage works from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, managing, and delivering facilities and refurbishment projects from start to finish, conducting site surveys, assessing requirements, and preparing work specifications.
  • Obtaining and reviewing quotations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies.
  • Scheduling and overseeing works to ensure timely completion, quality standards, and minimal disruption to residents or building operations.
  • Monitoring project progress and resolving any on-site issues promptly, maintaining accurate records of budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Coordinating and supervising approved contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and company procedures.
  • Conducting site inductions, inspections, and audits to verify compliance and workmanship standards, addressing any performance issues where necessary.
  • Supporting the delivery of planned maintenance programmes and reactive works, providing technical advice to property managers and internal departments.
  • Contributing to sustainability and improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with statutory requirements, company procedures, and best practice.
  • Promoting a strong health and safety culture by reporting incidents, near misses, and hazards, and ensuring risk assessments and method statements are reviewed before works commence.

What You Need
We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in managing property or facilities projects.
  • A strong understanding of building services, maintenance, and construction works.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in construction, project management, or building services (e.g. SMSTS, IOSH, IACCM, or equivalent) (desirable).
  • Experience within property or block management (desirable).

Building Surveyor

The Job
As a Building Surveyor, you will be required to carry out regular inspections on properties under Gateway’s management and oversee Section 20 works. This will include the preparation of schedules of work, contracts and report writing. You will work closely and liaise regularly with the Property Management Department regarding Section 20 works and conduct regular site inspections throughout London and the Southeast.

  • Organise and oversee all Section 20 works including the preparation of schedules of work, contract administration, defect diagnosis and report writing.
  • Ensuring all major works are carried out in line with Company procedures and legal requirements, including compliance with Section 20 consultation under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
  • Management of external professional consultants and contractors.
  • Project manage all works, updating the Property Management Department regularly.
  • Effectively manage budgets and complete projects on time.

Maintenance Operative

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative to carry out general maintenance and repairs across residential developments in the South East, including London. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting minor electrical repairs (e.g., changing light fittings, replacing sockets)
  • Basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and unblocking drains
  • General carpentry, including repairing doors, locks, and skirting boards
  • Painting and decorating communal areas as needed
  • Basic plastering and filling cracks or holes in walls
  • Carrying out general repairs and upkeep of the buildings
  • Assist with Fire Door inspections, conducting assessments and generating reports
  • Inspecting and troubleshooting maintenance issues proactively
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety guidelines

What You Need

  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience in Block Property Management
  • TP1 or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • A full, clean driving license
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to manage on-site teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with M&E systems and site audit requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Fire Safety Act, particularly for high-rise buildings.
