Reporting Analyst

Southend-on-Sea

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting Analyst to join the Corporate Team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will contribute to organisational improvements by gathering and analysing data, preparing reports, reviewing company performance and KPIs against targets and recommending improvements throughout the reporting process.

You must be comfortable with handling and organising large sets of data to assist in the development of high-quality information reports and be able to convert it into meaningful information for management.

You must be AAT qualified or working towards this, or hold an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to a high standard and meeting deadlines
  • Identifying Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) and measure the Group’s performance against these metrics
  • Analysing and interpreting data, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for the completion of monthly business reports
  • Training recipients of the reporting information to ensure it is understood and action points are easily communicated
  • Other analysis and reporting as required by business needs.

Skills

  • Proficient in the use of Excel, principally VLookups, PivotTable and Formulas

Service Charge Accountant

Leigh-on-Sea

As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Charge Accountant to join our busy team in our Eastwood Office in Essex.

Applicants must be either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, preferably with previous Service Charge experience. Along with sound commercial understanding, you must possess excellent communication skills and an exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

This opportunity offers the chance for a team player to assist and support the Head of the Service Charge Department in continuing to develop an already experienced team and working together to achieve Corporate KPI targets. This role requires a self-motivated, driven professional with the skills to manage multiple projects whilst working meticulously to strict deadlines.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare Service Charge budgets and actively working alongside the Property Management Department to ensure that these are realistic, effective, and distributed in a timely manner to achieve KPI targets.
  • Input budgets onto the database ensuring charges are applied correctly and apportionment's agree.
  • Assist Property Managers with account queries and budget preparation.
  • Prepare the weekly budget report for distribution to DOO and GFC
  • Prepare the monthly Corporate KPI reports for the Service Charge Department.
  • Raise periodic Service Charge demands and recharges as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

Prepare Service Charge accounts for the managed property portfolio to include:

  • Analysis of income and expenditure
  • Accruals and prepayments where necessary
  • Review and analysis of the Service Charge budget to actual expenditure and prior year performance.
  • Liaising with the Property Managers and external accountants to ensure accounts are complete, queries resolved and issued in a timely manner to achieve Corporate KPI targets.

Corporate Accounts Assistant

Southend-on-Sea

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accounts Assistant to join our Corporate Accounts Team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea.

The Corporate Accounts Assistant will be involved in the day-to-day processing for a number of Group companies, including posting invoices, and preparing Bank Reconciliations. They will also contribute to organisational improvement by gathering and analysing data, preparing reports, reviewing company performance and KPIs against targets and recommending process improvements throughout the reporting process.

They will be proficient in the use of Excel and must be comfortable with handling and organising large sets of data. They will report directly to the Group Financial Controller on all matters. This candidate must be a positive, self-motivated team player who takes ownership of their work. Being a good listener and meticulous attention to the details is imperative whilst being well organised to manage a demanding workload.

Previous use of Sage is essential along with being AAT qualified or working towards this, or an equivalent qualification.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Bank and petty cash reconciliations
  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
  • Assisting management accountants with month end and year end queries
  • Analysing and interpreting data ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for the completion of the monthly business report
  • Ensuring reporting requirements are met, on time and to a high standard
  • Liaising actively with all departments throughout the company to ensure reporting information is fed back on a timely basis and understood by all users
  • Other analysis and reporting as required by business needs

Paralegal

Leigh-on-Sea

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join our busy Solicitors Enquiries Department at our office in Leigh-on-Sea.

The successful applicant will be joining a growing team that is responsible for legal enquiries in respect of Service Charge and Ground Rent properties on behalf of Management Companies. 

This includes, but is not limited to:
 

  • Producing sales information packs 
  • Dealing with pre-contract sales enquiries in respect of any relevant sales, re-mortgages or transfer of equity
  • Post completion – dealing with and receipting Notice of Transfer/Charge
  • Updating our company case management system with new lessee details/charge details
  • Dealing with and creating Deed of Covenants, Certificate of Compliance and Share Certificates
  • Ensuring the accounts are clear prior to the release of any sales information packs and on the completion of a sale
  • Processing cheques and liaising with our accounts department
  • Scanning and filing all documentation that passes through, e.g Notices, Land Reg docs etc.


The successful candidate can demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, possess strong administrative skills, an ability to work to strict deadlines and handle a large and varied caseload. You will be used to working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. A high level of attention to detail will be required and previous litigation experience is preferred.
