Purchase Ledger Supervisor
Southend-on-Sea, Essex
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to lead our Purchase Ledger team at our office in Southend-on-Sea. This role is central to keeping our finance operations running smoothly and presents a great opportunity to step into a position of responsibility within a fast-moving business.

The Job
As Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise and support your team, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
- Handle escalated queries and complex issues with confidence
- Liaise regularly with the Department Manager on performance and process improvements
- Oversee invoice processing, scanning, posting, and quality control
- Manage contractor queries, payments, and insurance documentation
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve invoice and payment matters
- Ensure sign-offs, invoice registers, and payment workflows are properly maintained
- Oversee cheque payments, remittances, direct debits, and Gateway invoices
- Efficiently carry out filing and administrative tasks when required
About You
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Purchase Ledger supervisory role
- Strong commercial awareness and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage time effectively and balance multiple priorities
- Detail-driven, organised, and confident in leading a team

Hours: 37.5 hours per week shift pattern covering Monday to Saturday
