Bookkeeper

Southend-on-Sea, Essex

As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join our busy Corporate Accounts team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

The Person

The Job

Your role will include:

  • Processing supplier and customer invoices, ensuring timely payments
  • Completing bank and petty cash reconciliations
  • Processing expense claims and month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have previous experience in Sage Accounting
  • Be able to prioritise their workload effectively
  • Possess a meticulous eye for detail
  • Have previous bank reconciliation experience
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Have great written and verbal communication skills

What You Need

  • Accounting qualification (full or part) ideally with a minimum requirement of AAT level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in Sage Accounting

  • Carrying out Land Registry searches
  • Running weekly reports
  • Carry out an arrears report twice a month
  • Monitoring payment plan diaries
  • Updating debtor accounts using our in-house system
  • Daily banking

Qualified Fire Door Inspector

We are looking for a qualified Fire Door Inspector to cover our nationwide portfolio of properties, carrying out routine inspections of fire doors in flats and communal areas, ensuring they meet current UK fire and building safety regulations.

The Job

As a Fire Door Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring fire doors across a variety of sites nationwide meet the highest safety standards. You will:

Conduct inspections

Perform thorough visual assessments of communal and private fire doors, door sets, frames, and associated hardware this includes verifying compliance, testing functionality and reviewing certification of the door.

Generate reports

Document all findings, non-compliance issues, and potential hazards in detailed reports, including photographic evidence and recommendations for corrective actions.

Communication

Liaise with the administration team to ensure customer appointments and targets are met.

What You Need
